Dear Parents / Guardians,
On Friday, March 15th, grades for term 2 will be released. As in previous years, we are encouraging all parents/guardians to use OPTIS (Online Parent Teacher Interviews Scheduler) to book your family-teacher appointment.
The web-link can be found in the parent/guardian section of our school website (listed above) or by entering https://secure.parentinterviews.com/spjh/home into your browser.
School will close for our students at 11:26 a.m. on Thursday, March 21st and Interviews will take place from 12:30 p.m - 6:30 p.m. on that day.
There will be no cafeteria service at school for recess and lunch on Thursday, March 21st.
Powerschool will be shut down on Friday, March 8th as of 5:00 pm to allow teachers time to enter/update grades. It will reopen on Friday, March 15th at noon. Once again this allows for revisions and edits as needed.
As well, Report Cards will only be printed by request. A Google Form is included to make this request: Request for March Report Card. Many parents prefer to use Powerschool to access their child’s grades.
OPTIS (Booking Interview Appointments)
For those that do not know the process for booking interview appointments with teachers, we use an on-line program called OPTIS.
With OPTIS, you will be able to book up to a maximum of five (10-minute interviews) with teachers of your choice.
OPTIS will be open to set up your appointments on Tuesday March 19th at 9:00 AM.
With OPTIS, family/teacher interviews can be face to face or guardians have the option to book a video call or phone call.
